Conservative Leadership Race

March 22, 2020

Like many of you, I have been closely watching the current Conservative Party of Canada leadership election and like many of you, I still am an undecided voter.

Rightly so, they are now all unfortunately suspended from making public appearances in the interest of protecting the public’s health in the midst of the COVID-19 outbreak.

Unfortunately, in this race the fundraising and nomination signature requirements are very high and with the campaigns not being able to host public appearances, I fear that this will result in the grassroots members not being able to pick whom they believe is best suited to be our leader.

So, if you are like me, an undecided voter, or if you have selected your candidate, regardless of who they are, please consider helping me get all of these names officially on the ballot by signing their nomination forms.

I understand 3 campaigns have collected all of the required signatures (Erin O’Toole, Peter Mackay and Leslyn Lewis).  Two that I know of are actively looking for signatures still, they are Rick Peterson, a strong business owner that has been politically active for many years, including running prevously for the CPC leadership; and Marilyn Gladu, a Professional Engineer and current Member of Parliament for Sarnia-Lambton.  Any of these candidates would make a fine leader that I would be proud to support.

The following link has the nomination form for Rick.  If you print them off, fill them out and send me an email ([email protected]) with the photos of them attached, I will make sure they get to where they’re needed. If you'd like the nomination form for Marilyn send me an email and I'll gladly fire that off to you.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and please ensure that you and your families stay safe during this difficult time.
